CSIT World Sports Games 2027
The City of Aalborg and the Organizing Committee are pleased to
welcome athletes, officials and guests from all over the world
to the 9th CSIT World Sports Games.
🌍 Welcome to Aalborg
Aalborg is proud to host this international multi-sport event,
bringing together participants from around the world in a spirit
of sport, friendship, fair play and international exchange.
The city offers an ideal setting where sports venues,
accommodation and social activities are closely connected.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience both the
sporting programme and the welcoming atmosphere of Aalborg,
characterised by openness, cooperation and hospitality.
We look forward to sharing a memorable week of sport, culture

About the CSIT World Sports Games
The WSG is a major international multi-sport event held every
two years, bringing together sport, culture, fun and new
opportunities for people from all over the world.
Unlike elite multi-sport events, the WSG is open to amateur
athletes of all levels from different countries and cultures.
The focus goes beyond competition: the Games are also a
celebration and festival in the host city.
The WSG aims to bring sports friends together as one worldwide
family while encouraging friendship, cooperation and the
exchange of information, expertise and experience within the
international multi-sport community.

🌎 Who can participate?
Amateur Athletes
The WSG are open to amateur athletes from different
countries, cultures and sporting backgrounds.
Organizations
CSIT member and non-member organizations, partners,
governmental bodies, trade unions and companies are welcome.
International Community
The Games provide an international sports week combining
competition, cultural experiences and social activities.

Participants in the Tennis and Swimming Championships should
arrive one day earlier, on 7 June 2027.
🏅 Sports Programme
The CSIT World Sports Games programme includes official CSIT
Championships, Partner Championships, new and demonstration
sports, physical activities for seniors and a wide range of
cultural and social activities.
🏈 American Football
American Football is included in the CSIT programme with
tackle football disciplines for male and female participants.
Male · Seniors 16+
Male & Female · Seniors 16+
in the CSIT American Football Championship.
The eligibility reference date is 10 days before the individual
CSIT Championship or World Sports Games.
⚖️ Eligibility & Sports Regulations
Each official CSIT sport follows its own sporting regulations,
based on internationally accepted rules and including detailed
eligibility criteria for athletes.
Professional elite athletes are not eligible to participate in
the official CSIT Championships. Specific eligibility rules may
also apply to individual sports.

🛡️ Health, Insurance & Anti-Doping
Health & Insurance
Participating unions must ensure that their participants have
individual health and accident insurance and appropriate
repatriation assistance.
Anti-Doping
Competitions are organised under the CSIT Anti-Doping Policy
and WADA Code regulations.
Fair Play
Respect, friendship, equality, team spirit, integrity,
solidarity and clean sport are central values of the Games.

👵 Sport for All – Seniors 55+
The WSG 2027 will also offer a dedicated programme of physical
activities for seniors aged 55 and over.
The programme combines indoor and outdoor activities, movement,
social interaction, cultural experiences and opportunities to
exchange knowledge and experiences.
🆕 New & Demonstration Sports
The WSG programme will also include new and demonstration
activities, giving participants the opportunity to discover and
try different sports.
A Danish activity combining elements of croquet and golf.
The final programme will be published on the official WSG 2027
website and in the WSG 2027 APP. Participation in demonstration
activities is subject to registration and interest.

Citizens of EU/EEA countries and Switzerland can enter

Invitation Letter
Participants requiring an official invitation must request it
through the Organizing Committee according to the published
deadlines.

centre, with public transportation connecting the airport and
the city in around 15 minutes.

The World Sports Games are more than competitions. The programme
